Before your appointment:

• Semen Analysis: A period of sexual abstinence is generally required before sample collection, commonly 2–7 days. Please follow the laboratory’s confirmed collection and handling instructions.
• Testosterone: Morning sample collection may be recommended because testosterone levels can vary throughout the day.
• Prolactin: Inform our team about medications, recent strenuous exercise or other factors that may affect the result.
• PSA Total: Inform our team of any recent urinary infection, prostate procedures, ejaculation or cycling, as these may affect testing or interpretation.
• Inform our team about any prescribed medications, hormonal treatments or supplements you are taking.
• Continue regular medications unless your treating healthcare professional advises otherwise.
• Bring relevant previous laboratory reports, if available.

Important: This package includes a General Practitioner consultation and basic vital signs assessment. Specialist urology or fertility consultations and additional investigations are not included. The package does not, by itself, establish fertility status or diagnose prostate disease. All preparation and specimen collection requirements should be confirmed by Al Mashaher Medical Centre before testing.
